NOT MISSING A BEAT
Very good friends, indeed! Rihanna and Chris Brown enjoy a cozy seating arrangement at Tuesday's BET Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. When the R&B star took to the stage to perform her ballad "Take a Bow," Brown sang along to every word and snapped his fingers to the beat.

QUICK-CHANGE ARTIST
It was a night of many outfits for Alicia Keys, who made a red carpet arrival in a smokin' fuchsia dress, but rocked the stage in head-to-toe black before collecting the best female R&B trophy in an elegant beige-and-metallic gown.

GETTIN' HOT IN HERRE
Though he needs no introduction, Ashanti made a surprise appearance onstage to introduce her man Nelly before the rapper and Fergie showed off their mic moves during their duet "Party People."

OPENING CEREMONY
Usher kicks off the awards with a bang! The R&B crooner supplied the energy – and sex appeal – during a rendition of "Love in This Club," his latest single, during a bombastic opening number.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Kanye West walked away with big honours at the ceremony, nabbing trophies for best male hip-hop artist and best collaboration. West shared the stage with Lil' Wayne while accepting the former, thanking the rapper for being his biggest competition.
